Beal Mountain climbing and rock climbing GULES

The Beal Rando 8 mm is a lightweight hiking rope designed for non-technical mountaineering and ski tours. Ideal as a twin rope for ridge walks or when extra security is needed, it weighs just 36 grams per meter and packs compactly. It can safely arrest a fall in steep terrain, but should always be used as a twin rope—using a single strand alone, such as when hiking with children, is recommended only for tying in sequentially and not for climbing alone. Note that the Rando 8 mm must never be used as a single climbing rope. Beal ropes have a maximum service life of 15 years from manufacture, with actual longevity dependent on use and care.
